Best cover for the coals

No one is going to put  coals straight onto the tobacco, unless you are smoking  the very strong, unflavoured Iranian tobacco.

Some people put on a wire mesh instead of using aluminum, but it doesn’t¬† keep the coals as hot, and the heat inside the tobacco bowl well. For that aluminum¬† foil is the best¬† bet.

I’ve tried the very thick aluminum foil , but it burns the tobacco too much and of course re-using it is impossible, since with any foil, the¬† protective layer burns after one time any ways.

Best is to buy the ready cut in a circle thin foil and make sure that you put the shiny part down toward the coals  underneath so that it reflects the heat down toward the coals instead of taking the heat energy and lifting it away from your tobacco.

Some other things beside water to fill your bottle with.

Beer¬† .Didn’t like it-too much bubbles coming up the pipe.

Vodka and water. Nice but it goes to my head!

Milk. Makes nice thick smoke but yo’uve got to clean out the¬† hookah well.¬† Sometimes I get cheese in the¬† shaft, from churning in the¬† hookah.

Heard about carnation concentrated milk, didn’t find any but saw some coconut milk which¬† is 60%¬† oil content.

My hose absorbed the coconut smell. The stuff spoiled  in just a few smokes and smelled   putrid. Made the mistake of spilling the stuff into the sink with the dishes and pots. Had a  hell of a time cleaning them from the oil.

Hookah 1

Hard to believe!

When I was emptying one of my vases, it dropped about 1 inch into the sink and the bottom which was very thick broke. I was left with two pieces.

I got out some rubber cement glue and glued it well on both sides. Didn’t want to believe it actually worked so I left it sitting for three days. Today I filled it with water–no leak at all!

Dumb luck.
