Hookah 1
This article is really a D.I.Y. group of plans for making hookah tables that will keep the hookah from ever moving or falling! Great photos from the web.
As I was doing the previous post and looking for photos for a high pressure air hose to clean out a hose, I saw this photo and couldn’t help thinking that this¬† type of air hose could make a nice hookah hose. The one I’ve used in a machine shop a nice orange coloured one spiraled and quite springy, but light-weight and flexible was the same I saw in the big 7/24 hookah shop. They use it to blow out all the new hookah hoses being purchased¬† to get any wood particles out from the factory as well as blowing out the metal shafts of the hookah itself.
Since this kind is re-inforced, you should ask the seller if it has metal inside. You will end up with rust again! I’ve seen so many of thes 100%p.v.c. so I would not buy this kind.
This is the best to go with.
It always stays spiraled like this and springs back. Ask yourself if you want to smoke with such a hose. It will reach very far, but could tip and  pull your hookah over. My 2 hookahs are side-by-side on a glass end-table that is built with  a 3 step level. The longest step level is about 3 inches off the floor, then there next step up about 9 inches  and  a shorter glass step up higher.
I recieved this for free from someone who was moving and wanted to get rid of it. It hung around my apartment unused for awhile . Its the ultimate magazine table, but I don’t have magazines or newspapers.
The hokahs fit side by side with room in between for the distance of my ash catcher on top. Both are very large hookahs, one a bit shorter and even though I use¬† medium size pie tins cut in the middle for catching more ash, they fit. Even nicer, the circumfrence of my large water bowls is a bit smaller than the table’s lower step! I can pull hard on the hookah hose and it won’t fall.
My table does’t spiral, but this is nice.Notice metal side supports to keep the hookah from falling.
But as mentioned before, you can make¬† a hookah support in a few minutes by drawing the diameter around the hookah bowl on the bottom of a strong cardboard box, cut it out with a razor knife¬† having the box about 2-4 inches high and it won’t fall. Better would be plywood which you can paint or decorate.
This can also be cut away for a hookah.
¬†This needs to be cut away at the top. A bottom cut is not a good idea because of the hookah’s rising heat!¬†An old drawer turned upside down and cut away¬† is an idea.
This needs a frame of wood easily made to keep the hookah perfectly fitting and it won’t budge.
Bar stool can be cut away, or any chair really. It has to be low, right? For a hookah so you don’t pull it over.
Again, you measure the circumfrence of the  glass water bowl and fit to size wanted. If you make cut a bit more in diameter, on a stool like this or the tables you can have it resting on the floor which is best!
2 Hookah chess table
Here the hookah is separated and reattatched with p.v.c. hose
New idea?¬†Sturdy? I wouldn’t use it.
Something for the girls! (It was on the page).
This is one big…….tableMe too!
The “Mother of All Hookah Tables” :
Slide photos, this was found on google search
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v311/llamar007/?action=view¤t=141d8577.pbw
Here is….”Mother” :
It IS a small diameter hose (as shown  and explained above)
the size of a mini or junior hookah hose, but you can fit a hookah mouth-piece on it by playing around with the thin electric tape. Take the ends of the hose, put in very hot water which will expand it put the mouth-piece in and upon cooling will fit perfectly.
So you “Do it yourselfers” out in hookah-land, I hope you have lots of “food for thought”!
MORAL DILEMMA ?????
Its a cultural preference like fish, eggs, chicken beef etc.Smokey links and eggs.
¬†”That oven really burns me up”. …”Yeah its un-human to do this to¬† whole grains”.
Cookin up some shisha
“Oh, the poor coals” !! “The shisha probably doesn’t feel much better.”
Hookah 1
Hi, So you want to wash out your hose after a number of uses its feeling stale! This is only something you can do IF it is washable. Almost every hose is corregated for support inside with wire which tend to rust after awhile from moisture even if you don’t ever wash them.
But if you did spend a bit more on what was advertised as “washable” and are willing to take a chance…..
take some water mixed with lemon juice, pour it in and hold your thumbs over both openings. Swish it around, up and down for a few short minutes and let the water flow out. Now here is the problem: If its just hung up to dry now it could still rust. One tip as a friend told me is vacumning the hose with a vac cleaner!
Crazy but quite smart. Vacumn for a few minutes and that should get all the moisture. Or if you have access to a machine working shop, the very best thing is an air pressure hose which will blow all the drops out and dry the hose 100% ! Or, maybe a carwash place off the street! You can wash under  pressure and blow it dry on the hose!
¬†This is the hose fitting for an air hose…..Looks familiar no ? Which will be in the next post. With me good ideas don’t always come from my head, often¬† with G-D’s Help I trip over them!
If there is any moiture left in a washable hose, depending on which kind it CAN rust. I am not going to promise that it will, since it could be a new genuine washable.
Like I’ve written before, their are some great p.v.c. hoses especially made for the hookahs which can’t physically rust ever. Both from “Smoking-Hookah.com”
¬†Or as I’ve written ,with photos you take your hose¬† handles and¬† mouthpiece from your old rusted hose and bring ’em down to the hardware store to size a clear or coloured p.v.c. hose to the size you want. Check to see that its not too thick as the hose attatched to the hookah can flip it! I have done¬† this and was happy.
