Be smart around the hookah.  Play it safe. A good idea is to get a big  square of sheet tin thicker than tin foil for permanent use under the hookah to save on dirt, burnt holes in the wood or rug, Keep in mind that if  the round coals fall, they roll away far from the narghilah and could cause a fire, or burn someone nearby.

Take an apple, core it, and scoop out room about the size of a small shisha bowl for about 15 grams of shisha tobacco. Leave plenty of¬† fruit¬† inside for the walls, and the bottom should only have a big enough hole to fit onto the top of the hookah shaft. (you don’t put the clay bowl on, of course. This is instead of the bowl to give more apple taste and a cooler smoke.) Put the tobacco in, don’t pack it down. Add tin foil with the holes on top and add coal.¬†¬†¬† I’m smoking such an apple now, the smoke is a lot cooler, I even touched toward the top of the apple and its only a little bit hot. I can taste only a little the apple, I have double apple Al-Ouns in the apple so its hard to tell the difference.Don’t use any of the below photos as ideas instead of apples :

Don’t be lazy. Got to clean out your hookah after every use, as soon as you’re fnished so the grime doesn’t dry and harden.

You need a long handled brush specially made to clean the long shaft of the hookah.

I always use a little dishwashing liquid sop.YES! I know that some people will tell you that the soap taste stays, gives a soapy taste and won’t wash out. So what do you wash your dishes with? Plain cold water and sand?

Use warm or hot water, I’ve never tasted soap and its a great cleaner.

Same in the glass water bowl of course.
